San Francisco Cable Car

In this second segment, we continue with a few other locations in the San Francisco area, beginning first with Twin Peaks. The Twin Peaks-Lake Merced district is home to the Twin Peaks, two almost identical peaks located in the geographical center of San Francisco. The top of the peaks are mostly undeveloped, and are the best vantage points with a 360 degree view of the city, 300m up. Just drive up to either of the peaks and snap away.

San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge

San Francisco is often said to be the crown jewel of California’s Bay Area. Built on undulating hillsides surrounded by the pristine bay, the city’s mix of modern and Victorian style architecture, together with scores of parks gave it a sophisticated, yet quaint, feel.

Winchester Mystery House exterior

It took us less than thirty minutes to get to the Winchester Mystery House from the Mystery Spot, which was excellent as we had been anticipating this visit. We had first heard of the place earlier in the year when we were chatting with some friends on some of the weirdest and spookiest buildings in the world. With Halloween just around the corner (31st October), the Travcult team wishes to celebrate the occasion by introducing two attractions in California with the word ‘Mystery’ in their names. First up is the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, followed by the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose.
