Singapore Changi Airport Budget Terminal

Budget travellers heading to and from Singapore have a new reason to celebrate. As reported in local media, the Budget Terminal at Changi Airport will make way for a bigger and better facilities, dubbed Terminal 4. Although current infrastructure is still running within normal capacity, it was mentioned that the decision to rebuild the terminal took into account current rate of passenger growth and future traffic demands.

Details on the new Terminal 4 is still scant, but in a press release earlier today Changi Airport Group announced that passengers can look forward to better amenities and more dining and shopping options. The release also mentioned that construction is slated to commence in 2013, during which airlines affected will be temporarily moved to Changi Airport’s Terminal 2. Construction work is expected to finish in 2017.
