As one of the important Hindu festival, Dussehra is celebrated in most part of India as the grand finale to the ten day celebration of Navratri. The religious significance of Dussehra lies in its message of victory of good over evil, symbolised by the triumph of Lord Rama over Ravana. Giant effigies of the demon king are burnt, and people celebrate with prayers and firecrackers.
